    He behaves like Miles.
The entire school is more Miles than Peter.
Even the younger May is kinda like Miles's Mom(imo).
It's not just that he's like Miles, it's that he's so much not like Peter.MCU Spidey is much closer to Miles, etc.Uncle Ben doesn't even have a mention.
His relationship w/ other heroes is more like Miles.

Teen Avenger is also more of a Miles thing.

Also his main inner struggle. Miles questions if he even has "great power" in the first place due to growing up in a superhero world. MCU Peter has that same inner struggle in both of his solo films.

Not really, Peter did have to learn to rely on his own power rather than hand me downs from Stark but that kind of arc is standard for every hero but the main thing about his movies has always been about responsibility and the consequences of him avoiding it. In Homecoming he's given the option to just ignore the Vulture and go on his date, he doesn't take the bait. They never outright say it but in that scenario Vulture is like the burglar who killed Uncle Ben. Far From Home is driven by the fact that Peter is trying to absolve himself of responsibility and unwittingly empowering Mysterio in the process so now he's got to fix it. Even NWH's plot seems to be hinged on Peter trying to run away from his problems but unwittingly making it worse.

I feel like there should have been more consequences to Peter's actions in the movies for him to truly feel the weight of the responsibility on his shoulders and less cleaning up Tony's messes...and the idea that he keeps trying to leave his responsibility behind in subsequent movies feels kind of problematic, especially when we haven't straight up addressed why he feels that way aside from a vague allusion.

    Fr.
FFH should have been him establishing himself as a hero in NYC specially since people are worried and Avengers are gone.
Mysterio can still work, the glasses are given to him at the start but he gives them to Skrull Fury because he's his own hero and not Iron Bot Jr who gives them to Mysterio.

IMO the whole excited kid who looks up to other superheroes as mentors and wants to live up to the legacy of those that came before him feels more like Miles than either 616 or Ultimate Peter

Holland isn't the problem with this version it's the writing.

They pretty much were trying to hand all that over to Peter and every Miles fan that brought it up were essentially silenced underneath the MCU fanbase.

Which is why I am SO GLAD that Into the Spider-Verse happened, to introduce everyone to Miles and is arguably the greatest Spider-Man movie of all time. It took Miles up a notch and more people notice that kind of stuff now and don't treat Miles like an afterthought in it.
