The timeline is linear now. Everyone is the same person as they were in the 40s or 60s, they just age slowly. This applies to everyone from Batman to Robin to Commissioner Gordon. Jurgens said that Frank Miller's Year One happened but it would be set in the 30s, and no, not everything's gonna fit nicely, but the main idea is to make a place for every DC History.
