CBR.com did some kind of voting poll - not sure of the details - that resulted in the top 50 characters. I won't post links because there are too many with the poll. What are your thoughts on the results?

Never thought Barry will rank higher then wally and I was surprised my favourite character kyle got many first place votes.

How long have they been doing these top 50 polls? Is there a link to all of them somewhere? I'd be curious to see how they've changed over the years.

I remember Nightwing has always scored really high in the CBR polls. Curious how Aquaman ranked before the movie, but everything else is kinda what you'd expect.

The top 3's always consistent but the rest is just flip a coin. So many good characters left out. Where's Cass?

In fact, I love every character on this list, but your telling me Vic Sage, Kon-el, and Barda are more popular than Cyborg? I don't buy it. I demand a recount. #cyborggate

This poll consists hardcore comic fans I'm sure if it was casual fans cyborg would be in there.

Interesting how prominent / prolific Batman is. He's not only at the top of the poll, but four of the top ten are part of his extended family / rogues gallery, and eight of the top 20, between Batman, Nightwing, Joker, Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, Catwoman, Jason Todd and Harley Quinn.

Superman's coat-tails are significantly smaller (must be that enormous bat-cape!), with only Lex, Supergirl, Lois Lane and Conner in the top 50.

It does seem strange since Dick, Wally, Donna, Gar, Raven, and Starfire all made the list.
