Wasn't Jean and Bishop a thing briefly? I wouldn't mind Mama dating a black man but not someone Jean may had already experienced

And Bishop doesn't like Emma. I suppose there's always T'challa

I doubt Mama would want Storm's ex husband either. Mama could be single for awhile until a good male character that worthy of being Mama's lover comes along

    I wasn't a huge fan.

It lacked a lot of action, and it takes a few leaps in logic to go from that Emma to White Queen Emma, but it was serviceable as a teen drama.

The first volume was the best. It established her relationship with her gay brother Christian. She was a huge supporter of him and told him he shouldn't change who he is to please the family. It gave reason to the color white. And the book delved into her toxic family.

The 2nd volume was a bit lacking with the dishwasher boy and the mob and the casinos.

The 3rd volume was better than the 2nd volume. We got to see Astrid Bloom who was a fun character in her own right! We got to see Emma's inspiration for the English accent too.

I'll just start shipping Emma and Orroro going forward, I think that's a ship I can get behind. The best part is that they can really sail the ship since they are going to have a team on a boat.

Cyclops didnt like Emma before they got together but these type of things can obviously change. With that said,, I think the last time they interacted was post-Messiah Complex when Bishop himself was an outcast of the X-men, something that he and Emma have in common

It never needed to be anything more complicated than Emma being from a family of old money English aristocrats. Wouldn't be too far fetched they would have kept the accent for the sake of snobbery.

I hate how retcons to her past have made her a derivative of other characters.

That’s always been my headcanon. It was used at home so she took to it.

I don't mind the Astrid Bloom thing. It works for a girl who wanted to be anything other than the weak daughter of Winston Frost.

I would bet that this really is the end. Uncanny 22 was laying that down pretty clearly and it is being backed up heavily by everything seen from HoX/PoX and Dawn of X so far.

As for Emma herself being allowed to move on, the odds are looking pretty good there are as well. The previous times she said goodbye to Cyclops she basically ended up in limbo until the next time it came up (for plot reasons like DoX), with some short interplays in MU titles. This time she'll be a regular in an ongoing X-title by a friendly writer where the subject is unlikely to be brought up, maybe at most as a throwaway comment by Kitty. So just give it some time and it will be well on its way to being forgotten.

I think Jean has just as much chance, just like someone pointed out Emma was also portrayed bad twice. Emma seems more like a character who would work on say an X-Force movie.

If anything that would intrigue her more :P
