Plastic Man was originally a character published by Quality Comics (from 1941 to 1956, though the last few years may have been mostly been reprinted stories?), then it looks like in 1963, I.W. Publishing published three issues of a Plastic Man comic book, but those may have contained all reprinted stories originally from Quality Comics.

Plastic Man had his first DC Comics series back in 1966.

Well, he appeared in one panel of Justice League of America #107 (September-October 1973), the issue that first introduced the team, but that seemed to indicate the Earth-X version of Plastic Man had previously died in the fight against the Nazis.

I’m really glad Plas will be playing a big role in the DCU again. I fell in love with the character during Joe Kelly’s JLA run. Kelly also established Plastic Man as one of the most powerful metas in the world. Able to go toe to toe with a burning Martian.

I found it interesting that Plastic Man’s mind was being effected by the nightmare Dark Multiverse. I guess it means he doesn’t just have a “wacky” personality but is actually connected somehow to the realm of imagination.

I remember buying his run from 1976-77 when it originally came out.

I haven't read it, but do people think Gail Simone and Adriana Melo are doing justice to Eel in their new limited-series?

    Absolutely!
Don’t judge it by that image alone. I think if you liked JLA #65 you’d like this book. It has funny and bawdy (as Gail put it) moments but it also hinted that Offspring may show up. So a little heart as well.

Also I'm very disappointed with the Plas mini. The first issue was OK and I decided to give it another issue to see it develop but the second issue was just terrible.

Too bad . I really like Plastic Man.

Really enjoyed issue 2! It’s great to see the series getting positive reviews from the main comic book sites. Hope Plas continues to get the attention he deserves going forward.

It's easily her best work since Secret Six.
Imagine being proud to have negative traits. I can’t relate.
