Favourite self contained graphic novels from DC?

Is it okay to ask for a recommendation in here? Any DC self contained romantic graphic novels?

A friend of mine kinda challenged me to find something for her. She's never read western comics and mostly sticks with manga. She knows Batman and this all started because she spotted the wedding tpb when we were in the store and flipped through it, but was disappointed at the lack of a wedding.

"Omega Men: The End Is Near," by Tom King (writer), Barnaby Bagenda (art), et al. Originally a 12-issue maxi-series, but it contains one complete story, not two 6-issue arcs, so I believe it counts as a self-contained graphic novel. You don't need to be overly familiar with the Omega Men or the Green Lantern Corps (Kyle Rayner -- usually a Green Lantern but actually a White Lantern during this time -- is a featured character) to enjoy this one. It has a Star Wars feel to it, with an Evil Empire and scrappy rebels at the center of the story, but it's grittier than that, with parallels to modern insurgent warfare and terrorism. A modern classic.

It's not a graphic novel, but you might give her a copy of Tales of the New Teen Titans number 50. It's Wonder Girl's wedding issue, and is extravagant.

Tim Truman's Hawkworld, no contest. I guess one could argue that it's not self-contained, given the ongoing series that eventually spun out of it, but as it was originally intended to serve as a retelling of Hawkman's origin story, I absolutely still consider it a standalone story.

A trade paperback collection containing multiple comics is not an Original Graphic Novel though - and a hardback book is never a trade paperback.

As I go through the OP's definition of OGN, I'd say The Nail is perhaps my favorite. Certainly, it - closely followed by Justice - is my favorite Justice League OGN.
