This thread is always so lit when I pop in. This is like my other home! I'm tellin y'all I can't wait to feast my eyes on this movie come Friday morning!
My lady already bought my tickets for tomorrow night and I don't think waiting for my son to be born gave me this much anxiety!! Not too much longer peeps.
Two Days until the Movie! (unless you are watching it on Thursday, but that screws up my countdown).
Marvel Comics Presents #36 - Panther's Quest (Part 24) - Opponents
T'Challa examines his ankle caught in a bear trap while a dog is coming at him a minute and a half away. He tries to pry open the trap, but his fingers keep slipping in his own blood. He manages to pull his foot out just in time to get attacked by the dog. Fortunately, his bones and ligaments are intact and he can hold weight. He grabs the bear trap, swings it around, and strikes the dog - it is a second dog to die while he is in the country. Then he knocks out two more mercenaries.
He sees Pretorius's lush mansion and thinks back to the townships he saw previosuly. He thinks that this building is older than apartheid, which was only forty years old. As he walks across the tennis court, the mercenary leader, Elmer Gore, slowly walks out. I like that this story knew it would be the final fight and doesn't hide that fact. Gore is strong, fast, and ferocious. The story ends with Elmer Gore forcing T'Challa's head underwater while singing "Kill the Wabbit."
This was an impressive gauntlet of ordeals for T'Challa. I like that the ending is feeling earned.
Costume Tear Count: Four more slices - one from the bear trap, three from Gore's knife.
Matt Murdock's cooler twin brother
I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

Happy black panther day you filthy animals!
The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-MEN with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels.
