Don't think we've seen him since Avengers Initiative.

It's definitely an improvement but considering that they showered La La Land with nominations it's likely that'll be the movie that gets the most love. I hear Viola Davis is pretty much a sure thing for her category though.

A lot of the effects were CGI but I was under the impression that the alien rebels were done with practical effects. I guess I could be wrong though.

I guess we can add John Stewart to that list. Funny how all the GL fans-especially HAL fans are getting along. DESPITE Hal losing his Justice League spot and his solo book to 2 POC not named John.
Could've fooled me. Jessica and Simon get quite a bit of hate from that crowd. I remember seeing people complain that GL was the only series that was used to push a PC agenda and how Jessica and Simon should be killed off.

Mostly Cameo's in Avengers Initiative, Pak's War Machine run, and at the very end of Liss' American Panther story.

Yeah Harris was top editor at marvel at the time I believe or atleast very high ranking

Limbo & a live.. The X-books usually Don't allow more that too top/important/classic poc to be on an active roster at one time in their important books.. Right now it's Storm & Monet ( important/classic) & a few randoms, Soon it will be Storm & Jubs ( important/classic) & a few randoms.. B4 that it was Storm & Bishop with the randoms, Then Jubilation & Storm with the randoms..

I see. One of only 2 Black Jewish characters in mainstream and almost never seen. And with regards to the other, has Shilo Norman showed up in anything in DC lately?

Not the hate that John got. Hal fans went off in John Appreciation threads many times.

John has been degraded and belittle for everything including things that others (Green Arrow) get praise for.

We have had cries for boycotts of Batman over Duke and his 4 pages in All Star. Jessica & Simon's book outperform Hal's book and many other DC/Marvel books. Yet gets ignored by trolls but is praised for being a decent book.

DC actually had 2-BLindside from Relative Heroes. He was adopted by a white Jewish family. He has not been seen since Relative Heroes mini.

It was a six issue series that looked to be under the Superman family. Superman appeared in it towards the end.

    Black kid was adopted.

    No there is another one.

It's called 100 Streets. I thought it was a series not a movie.

    He's a married man with 2 kids.

I did think of another one-

Some Girls. 3 series and 18 episodes (UK)

Lead girl is dark skinned and has a black father who remarried a white woman.

    Notable cast-

Colin Salmon (24, 24 LAD & Resident Evil series)

Franz Drameh (Attack Da Block & DC's Legend of Tomorrow) And he's in 100 Streets with Idris.

Dolly Wells (Blunt Talk) She was Walter Blunt's boss.

Oh and Suicide Squad got a nomination too. No seriously, it was for Makeup/Hairstyling.
This movie is FINALLY showing in a black neighborhood.

    For ONE WEEK

At 3:25 PM-where no one can watch it.

Final showing for the film end this month.

Its funny this film only showed mainly in white communities. Well those Oscar nods will help dvd sales. Hate having to wait till next month.

A fantasy trilogy is being made set using African mythology and lore.
It arose out of an argument about diversity in the hobbit

Well, the distributor was a small company so...you know. If it had gotten picked up by Miramax or something it might have gotten into more theatres.

I notice there's a short list for who's to play Hal in a proposed Green Lantern Corps. movie, but none for John, just an actor from "This Is Us" saying publicly he wouldn't mind playing him. Yet folks claim its not a low-key Green Latern reboot but will be an ensemble with ALL the Lanterns. Yeah right.
