It honestly might just drop on the 9th. One of Hickman's big complaints about the way comics are sold is the spoiler-culture of solicits so this might be his way of combating that.

Substack is a platform that allows creators to easily create a subscription based newsletter. They recently jumped into the creator owned comics game - basically you subscribe to a specific writer for a monthly/yearly fee and get content emailed to you.

Will this be like a digital X-book that you can only purchase via the Marvel comics app?

This appears to be a Marvel Unlimited exclusive project - as of now it's a Netflix like subscription service where you pay a flat fee and get access to Marvel's entire digital library, with new comics being added after a 3 month delay.

I think it’s worth it for $9.99 a month. I’ve been a subscriber for about six months and have caught up on so many series, including things I wouldn’t have considered checking out. It’s great.
