Community thread participation isn't what was being referred to; bumping one's own essentially dead thread that hadn't had activity for some time with nothing new really being brought to the table in the new post other than to get said thread back to the top is what's being talked about.
I think that was even a "rule" before.
Nah.
Naaaaaaaaaaaaah.
I think that was technically a rule before as well.
That was a rule before too; I think as long as it's clear that you're not shilling your own auction (re: context), it should be fine.

Nah. I don't think we'll have to worry about any of these too much. Bumping a thread isn't the same thing as contributing to it. It'd be more like if I started a thread called "Did Matt Fraction ruin Iron Man?" and no one answered, because they knew the answer was yes, but I still bumped it for attention anyways.
I don't think the sarcastic sexist stuff will be too much of problem here. No one who posts here is going to take offense or see it as harassment and it's not like you've ever been too overt for any lurkers to get upset. Same goes for Bebop's suit.
The spoiler thing is an old rule, they would even have threads saying to you couldn't post spoilers on a big book or issue until a certain time.
I think it's more like no starting a thread of stuff you're selling. But if someone was looking for something, linking them a ebay sale shouldn't be a problem.
