I'm fine myself. Had an intake interview this morning, and it seems that I got hired as a reserve holiday employee at a warehouse. So yay!

I'm leaving for Indonesian class in a couple minutes, so won't be hanging around the forum that much longer, though.

I think our house's eventual Marvel/DC cold war is beginning. First the boy was watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He's three, so he gets punchy after a while watching it so he doesn't get it very often. But then he told K the Avengers were the strongest or the greatest or something. "Oh, really?" she says. Next thing I know, I come home and he's watching Batman: Brave and the Bold. Let the games begin!

Yay! Natch, I prefer Brave and the Bold, but there's scads of fun to be had in both! And Young Justice, and the various animated series, and Ultimate Spider-Man and...

I was briefly teaching at a school where they taught Indonesian, and one of the teachers was a guy named Brett Hodges. The kids referred to him as 'Pak' Hodges.
It took me ages to realize they weren't calling him 'Buck Rogers'.

As the Hawks game is tonight, I wore my 2010 Stanley Cup polo.

It made me think and realize that in my lifetime I got to see the White Sox win their first championship since 1917 and the Blackhawks win their first championship since 1961!


Now I just need the Bears to do it, as its been since 1986.
