A lot of people have been complaining about Raney's art and I really don't get it. I think it works really well for the space/cosmic setting.

Heyyy, Aunttiiiiiee
You know I don’t think that we have ever seen when the Guardians of Oa met the New Gods before.
Also I can’t tell if John is supposed to be unaware of new gods or if he’s just really confused on who Lonar is?
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
i want to say the latter just because it wouldn't really make sense for John not to be aware of the New Gods considering he's had multiple major storyline with them, especially in recent years. it read to me less like he was confused and more like he couldn't be bothered with how cryptic Lonar was being.

Lonar is not a major New Gods character so someone being unaware of him is reasonable.
Yeah, I'll go with that latter. Although John's obviously hip to the big 4th World players (hell, he spent the better part of two decades moping about after Cosmic Odyssey, and that was eyeballs deep in 4th World stuff), he's a) not that impressed by them (aside from Darkseid, 'cause that's just plain common sense), and b) hasn't collected all their trading cards.
