Well Duke is in Beyond and White Knight so I wouldn't just write it off as appears when Synder has a hand. He is seen as a legit part of the family by various writers

It really is like a game of musical chairs with the writers isn't it? Okay, today this group is the Family. Now today this group is the Family.

Even Batman and The Signal, where the (probably brief) gathering of everyone is the biggest gathering of BatFamily we've seen (Also the first time all of Bruce's kids are in the same panel as I like to point out) Steph, JPV and Basil are absent. I'd say Harper too, but given that there appears to be some some of mandate from Bruce that everyone showed up to dinner in costume, that was probably a deal breaker.

One friend showed me this image of the annual 2(he knows that I am Steph fan)... I like to see that she can be in Bruce Wayne last moments with the batfamily..

and the man to the left to Steph, is Tim(even if King never used him here) or Damian? I don´t like the idea of use characters like Duke or Carrie here in the last bruce moments, but no Damian.. Fortunatelly I leave King long time ago..

I don't think he exists honestly (along with Cass, assuming the dark haired girl in the frame is Helena). This seemed like an alternate timeline, at least that's how I viewed it.

Despite the lovely and bittersweet ending the mix match family makes me not want this to the be the canon timeline. (and I don't think it is really)

I hope there is a future where Damian and Helena can exist altogether.
