My theory for now:
-Rey starts training under Luke. Luke panics at her power and rejects her.
-Kylo is training under Snoke. Snoke orders him to kill Leia but he is unable to do so either driving a wedge between them or having Snoke reject Kylo in favor of pursing Rey.
-???
-The scene between Kylo and Rey is at the end where they both essentially shed the light/dark morality and embark together on whatever mission still needs to be completed. Likely taking down Snoke?
I think because the title is The Last Jedi I think that Rey and Kylo will ultimately become disenfranchised to their respective dark side/light side masters and reject that dichotomy.
I'm sure I'll be totally wrong but its fun to speculate.

what about phasma keeps you interested in this movie? sorry, nothing personal, but it reeks of projection. phasma has been nothing but a special stormtrooper with two (!) sentences of dialog.
what is your expectation? phasma getting some well developed charator arc? sorry, i canīt wrap my head around statements like yours. she will have have 2-3 "cool" scenes and that will be it

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
my money is on kylo not (intenionally) killing his mother. too much bait there
(but if he does, it would be hillarious having some imperial sidekick doing a "great shot kid, 1in a million" comment)
so glad kylo honours his grandfathers combat traits

noone complained about cute generic alien no.5 having a scene (again!) contrasting fierce chewie? ok, let me do it. way more interested in these ice foxes, so cute

Like she's reliving the last movie in some fashion, regardless if the Kylo clip is connected to it?
I'm pretty sure that the point of the last scene is to get people wondering just what the heck is going to happen, so I could very well see them creating something that'll get a reaction, esp. since the main one seems to be: "Will Rey join the First Order?"
The voiceover of Rey saying she needs to be shown her place in all of it could very easily have come from a scene with Luke (her explaining why she needs to learn from him), not Kylo. Not sure what the context of Kylo sticking his hand will be in the climax, but that could easily be setting up him defecting, not Rey (I don't want either to defect, but better Kylo than Rey). However, at this point, I don't think we have enough info to make accurate speculations. After all, the trailers for the previous movies had a lot of misleading elements in them, so it's a good bet that this one does too.
