Husk a.k.a. "Hayseed" Appreciation

There hasn't been a Husk Appreciation Thread since the previous CBR forums went defunct. And with the whole Crazy Husk storyline, I don't really blame fans for not wanting to draw attention to Husk in the comics.

However, since Husk has started appearing in comics again with her sanity restored, I thought it would be an appropriate time for fans to start showing their appreciation for this classic Generation X character once again.

Personally, I think Paige needs to change her outfit to reflect the change in her status. Shed off that yellow mess of a costume that she obviously picked out when she was totally Looney Tunes.

I love Paige and I weep internally just thinking about where some of these dastardly writers have driven her with their awful pens/keyboards.

I felt strongly that her whole molting thing would lead to some fun power developments but instead she lost her mind and wound up snogging Toad.

Shameful.

I STILL feel very strongly that Paige has the stuff to become one of the greats -- as well as LEADING an X-team -- but alas, she's doing the Guidance Counselor thing right now --hopefully harnessing her potential through study and practice in her after hours.

If she were to follow in her brother's romantic footsteps, Eden Fesi. He's a mutant right? Inconsequential to the romance -- I'm just curious if anyone knows.

Awkward... I probably should've mentioned that those pages I posted are the only part of #4 she and Chamber appear in... I think so, anyway... But it's Claremont, so I'm sure it's a nice little story! Lol. I just hope you flip through it before you buy it, hah.

Yeah, hoping Claremont continues to write Gen X characters... It was nice to see M, Husk, and Chamber together again, even if it was just background wallpaper type stuff.

Apparently that new job is guidance councilor or something? Because having a secondary mutation that makes you the super-powered equivalent of multiple personality disorder is the perfect job description for someone who should be guiding the hearts and minds of the next generation of mutants? Hehe.

Ah well, anything other than "not crazy!" is better in my book.

Although it does make me wonder if some personalities of her are drawn to guys like Toad and others are drawn to guys like Chamber... err...

It's interesting that Husk was being compared to Buffy in 2002, as Monet was back in "Generation X" comic book. Definitely a go-to name for powerful teenage females at the time.
