Yes, that's why I'm not a fan of most of the retcons I witnessed. It always make things more convoluted and complicated.

Curious about this because:

1. Betsy did not "steal" Kwannon's body. The body swap was performed by Spiral at the request of Matsuo (or maybe Kwannon's boss, not 100% sure)

2. Kwannon died from the Legacy virus and the portion of Betsy's telepathic powers bonded to Kwannon returned to Betsy

In Hickman's relaunch, Betsy not only feels guilty for "stealing" Kwannon's body but Kwannon also states she was aware of Bestsy possessing Kwannon's body and unable to do anything.

She also was given the choice by Jamie to be restored in her rightful body and she denied. Betsy Braddock knew her old body was weak,fragile and utterly useless and rode in kwannons thick yet athletic sex pot body for years doing unspeakable things. She SHOULD BV feel guilty. She never put any real effort in to restoring her old body.

Her original body was killed in Sisterhood. It was imperfect and Dazzler did some serious damage to it. Betsy didnt have much choice there

Ole body was also a bit thick and gangly. Im glad for her that she traded up but it wasnt right.

It wasnt about giving back as mich as let it rest. She could have returned to her original body. She could have at least tried. She worked with Spiral in Uncanny XForce. She just didnt want to.

How did u understand it when Betsy was talking about how her new body was more warrior like in the early 90s? Kwannon was a trained assassin who'd undergone rigorous training since her childhood. Betsy was a british socialite. Its not hard to figure which of the two was in better shape. Not even talking abt the evident drug use.

I wish writers and readers remembered that. The storyline was full of retcons but at one point it was clear Betsy and Kwannon bodies and minds were merged together and then split up and each one kept aspects of the other. Which was a perfect outcome since it did away with the issue of the white girl living in the asian girl body. But all people remember is they switched.

I dont beleive Elixir was raising the dead back then. His powers have grown immensely since then
