Yes, I admit that I look for your comments and trust your suggestions on this site because I usually am aligned with your sentiments. Your endorsement was one of the reasons I bought the Asmus/Mann trade when it came out last year – SO GOOD!
It's sad. I REALLY WANTED TO LOVE EXCALIBUR too. Honestly, I actually quite hate Apocalypse, but have been trying to open my heart and try to understand all this magic stuff. It’s just not coming together for me. It’s maddening…And, like you, character loyalty to Rogue and Gambit is the only reason I’m staying for now. But once again, if Excalibur pulls some really out of character or awful story developments – I just can’t.
And because of your post, I’ve downloaded it and will now pick up the hard copy. UGH! I really enjoyed the book in it’s entirety and will now have to buy the whole series! I was trying to avoid it…because once I’m hooked, I buy everything. It’s an addiction.

Really enjoyed seeing Gambit and Rogue’s daughter. Such a short conversation, but it got me too. Mind you – Dani Cage really touched me. I read all Jessica Jones stories KT wrote and loved these call backs. |

Perhaps I should drop Excalibur soon and then just follow other titles? But I just can’t imagine doing that. How can I support comics while not reading the stories with my favs? If I drop Excalibur, I’ll drop everything all together. I’ve done it once…it was really hard to do…but I can do it again.
Anyways…since I mentioned my back issue reading…I did manage to score some X-Factor issues with Gambit on the team. What was other people’s take on that version of Gambit? There are some moments that didn’t really jive with me…however…I will admit I’d take that version of Gambit over Excalibur Gambit any day.
