Is this really a Justice League run or just a supporting title to Bendis' Checkmate stuff?

Because this feels decidedly un-Justice League-y.

Bendis has a habit of turning a comic book issue into whatever he feels like, despite the title of the comic book, doesn't he?

I mean, tbh, I might actually pick up this issue. I've always liked Checkmate, so their presence here entices me to read this issue. LOL.

Phil Hester, because the one good thing about the series (Marquez) was one thing too many.

I liked Hester's work on GA fine back in the day, but he's not up to Justice League IMO.

Fair, but it doesn't really feel like the Justice League to me.

And editors always seem to allow it.

Is it Bendis who’s causing the book to run so late (#70’s been pushed back again now!)....it certainly isn’t the art!!
And how can they release the JLD Annual next week when there’s still two regular installments left in the main book that lead up to said annual??

You do think than something like to keep a coherent continuity is going to stop Bendis' genius?

Seriously, this is so pathetically bad. A whole page just for a guy to leave a room. Talk about a waste os space. I really never could get into Bendis decompressed style, but honesly, he's now like a parody of himself (which was already bad). Anxiously waiting for the next Justice League writer.

    Peace

Probably Joshua Williamson because at this rate he's getting the Johns treatment.

But he's already got Batman (starting next month), which these days is a bigger deal than Justice League.

Maybe he'll end up writing both at the same time .

This is easily one of the worst Justice League runs in many years.
