It's quite frankly pretty great. I didn't bother trying the comic monthly; I instead checked it out in trade paper back form at the local library. I expected the worst. However, warts and all, it wasn't that bad. The art was great: Cheung and Jimenez are a winning combination. The writing was surprisingly well thought out too: the Legion of Doom, while a step back in character for Sinestro and Luther was competently handled as it had any right to be. And you even had some poignant moments now and again.

However, as for criticisms, the characterization of Barry Allen was the worst I've ever seen, and the JL roster was too big. Ideally, only 6 characters were needed: Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Superman, Martian Manhunter, and Flash. Have Cyborg, Hawkgirl, and Aquaman as reserves. Snyder had no idea what to do with half the team.

Overall I would give it a 7 out of 10.

I found his first arc to be merely OK and dropped it.
I also found myself having ZERO interest in the whole 'Metal' event either.
