Thank you very much to everyone who has offered sympathy, understanding and support for what we are going through with Kang. Cats are so stoic. For much of today Kang has kept quiet and is often in a classic position of pain, but he has stayed next to us and sought our company. We spent most of the afternoon on our sunny balcony with brief forays down the stairs to the garden. His brother Kodos remained aloof for much of the day, but whenever he has blessed us with his presence, he checks on Kang before doing anything else. I love these cats so much and taking Kang to the vet to be euthenized tomorrow feels so wrong because he is outwardly a young a healthy looking cat, but I see his pain and discomfort too, and I know that the cancer will make it progressively worse so I am resolved to follow through with this. I hate this day, but tomorrow will be worse.
