I personably prefer the separate mother and daughter.
With the mother being dead. So writers are less tempted to kill off present day Dinah.
I do hope that in 2021 DC will make it clear whether there was a "Golden Age" Black Canary and if/how she's related to the present-day Dinah.
Both entries originally from Green Arrow Annual #2 (1989)
I always thought the jacket looked better when Dinah's not rocking a leotard that goes all the way up to her neck. The choker/jacket combo works best for me.
I'll be honest, I'm sad to see the Rebirth look going away, but outside of her stint in the '80s, Dinah's always been rocking a solid look.
Hoping she and Ollie open up a flower shop again when DC launches Green Arrow/Black Canary!
What? I can hope.
Black Canary and Bombshell Black Canary by Mark Brooks:
I really wish DC would hire Brooks for variants.
More evidence, however, that Bombshells Dinah rules. That's in my top 3 Black Canary looks for sure. I wish it'd find a way into the mainline somehow, even if it's just Ollie and Dinah going to a rockabilly show for fun.

I think more could be done with the Florist-secretly-being-a-superhero angle of the character:

I like how Dinah Drake was raised by her police detective father while Dinah Laurel Lance was raised by her superhero uncle and aunts:

Dinah Drake seems to have been more of a detective while Laurel was a more two fisted character.
