Oy hope it gets picked up. Heard nothing but good things about the pilot. This gets cancelled but we get a Titans season 2? I couldnt make it past the 3rd episode of that

Swamp Thing has an 80 Million dollar budget? That's close to Game of Thrones budget. What the heck were they spending the money on? It looks like a slightly more expensive CW show.

They actually spent $85M. That was on the cut down version (10 episodes instead of 13). I'm guessing they went with complete CGI for the swamp thing look instead of a poxy looking costume that bad camera angles wouldnt sell.

As I hear it NC has a $12M grant limit. They were going to get around that by giving a separate grant to the pilot from the rest of the season. One NC source said they did this but that still came very shirt of the $40M promised and AT&T have promised investors they would get their debt down.

This could be just a rumor to sate investors on that front as well as get others like HBO throwing money at them to continue. Given how quickly there are rumors of offers to fund a second season if it was it worked well

Yep and CW always renews them. It's great that these comic book stories have a home on a network without fear of cancellation (at least not early on)

I don't want this show to be over taken with poorly driven melodrama that will be dominated by shipping wars, characters acting stupid with a villain of the week plot structure. The target audience of the network will be a really bad fit for the character.

Better that than nothing or the overly Long nothing going going on marvel Netflix stuff but that's just me.
