Bendis deserves my putting the screws to him.
The emphasis on "adult" animation worries me, where that often means more mature and explicit for the sake of being mature and explicit and not for any deeper storytelling, and this coming in the wake of, and possibly influenced by, Invincible. I was very much on board with how Invincible portrayed the character of William up until the point they centered his stand-out moment on sex. Based on that, where "gay=sex", and Bendis' definition of Future Romance (Saturn Girl violating Jon's privacy and him having no issue with that, and arguably Jon being overly chummy with Brainiac), if that's how modern writers for mainstream adult animation view queer identities of young adult characters, then I don't have trouble seeing bisexuality being portrayed as "bi=sleeps around", an equally cheap and ignorant way of presenting a queer identity.
I'm merely being preemptively critical based on personal feelings and past experiences. I can very easily be proven wrong and look the fool.

"A lot of them have come around to him being aged up."
Er, where, Mr. Taylor? Everything I see about it, are mostly made up of fans that want him de-aged. That want the real Jon back. Going so far as to write fanfics about undoing the age-up. Or outright ignoring it altogether.
I actually have seen some people start to come around after the first two issues, but, funny enough, a lot of them went back to hating him again after issue #5 when they remembered that the fake Jon is still a boring ass lego brick of a character whose best quality is that he's a stand in for Clark.
