I wish that they didn't bother making Eddie Brock Venom. It actually wan't necessary.

I wish they hadn't forgotten Eddie Brock existed during their big Symbiote focused season, which was probably the most inexplicable thing about that season.
I personally just don't care for the Symbiote being a villain without the host, let alone stealing that hosts voice so it can talk without needing the host.
Venom was just Hydro man from space after the Brock split.
"Cable was right!"
The Symbiote focus definitely felt executive mandated to tie-in to the Venom movie.
This show had enough filler as is, I don't think from a characterization standpoint that Brock was really filler. Or at least he shouldn't have been.
And the Absolute Carnage comics. I remember some of the merchandise for Maximum Venom were actually reprints that changed the wording from Symbiote *character name* to Venomized *character name*, even if they weren't in the cartoon.
IDK, unlike Ock and Toomes Eddie as Venom didn't have a story arc that lasted more than a couple of episodes. It felt like he was brought in just to say that it's been some years since he was in a cartoon, let's fix that gap.
Still find it weird that his only mention during Maximum Venom was during Norman's flashback when he was watching Eddie as Venom fighting Peter. Guess we're suppose to assume he never woke up from his coma.
I mean, they only needed to get his introductory arc out of the way and then use him more, but then they just wholesale drop him like there was no point to introducing him to begin with.
They should've just had Brock as Venom leading the Symbiote invasion to begin with.
The whole symbiote planet and stuff was more unnecessary nonsense.
I count over-reliance on slow motion as one of the strange decisions.
Speaking of Strange, is this Strange the same one as in Ultimate Spider-Man or is he someone new for this show? He didn't feel like he knew Spider-Man before.

Personally. I think they just shouldn't have bothered to introduce Eddie at all if they were just gonna give him such a small role. I would still be disappointed, but less bitter at it. I just don't understand. Why? Especially that decision to bond Venom with Max at the end? Super silly. Also it's such a huge shame that they had this cool mythology around the Symbiotes that was even better than the comics, and did jack and **** with it.
