Honestly, Land seems even more hated than Liefeld. Too bad Marvel hasn't learned to cut him yet. Because he doesn't seem too win a new series any points.

Many say they didn't Weapon X due to him. And I don't think drawing Bunncanny helped it. Though I thought he was better than Lashley.

I don't mind Land too much. But I admit he has his flaws. He drew a better Uncanny than Lashley did. But I think his art did contribute to the series not doing well. Because despite me not minding him, Many others hate him. So putting him on books probably doesn't help when quite a few admit to passing on anything drawn by him.

I think he draws the best Monet. He does an ok Sabretooth -except for the frequent constipated face. His Magneto was pretty good. And I loved his Mystique. I would have preferred Land draw everything -instead of switching to Lashley. But my likes tend to be the minority.

If most hate Land's art, and pass on the series, then I would agree Land needs to go, since he's a heavy negative for many fans and can effect what is a decent series.

Weapon X needs to end and be forgotten. What a waste. We could have gotten a good X-force run and instead we had a never ending and dumb Hulkverine arc.

Yeah, that arc went on waaay too long. Also, it sounded cool at the onset but got a little boring to have a team made up almost entirely of healing factored, claw-stab characters. They’re all pretty damn interchangeable in the action scenes. “Oh, man! So-and-so just got shot/stabbed/gored! But they’ll be fine because they heal. And they’ll bounce back and jump in and start stabbing again.” Needed more variety IMO.

I’m hoping the BC rumor is true and this becomes X-men Black or X-Force and has a better mix of characters and power sets. Led by Cable of course.

Apparentl Gail saw Pak's work on Domino in Weapon X, and said his writing for her is the reason she wanted to do this book.

Pak has spoken to her about her plans, and loves them.

Anyone who thinks Domino is caricatured or one-note in Weapon X, may not be happy here. Because it seems Gail is gonna possibly be following his vision of the character. And for shippers, she may be carrying over the Warpath deal if she's liking Pak's take on her.

I'm not too enthused if Simone is taking a lot of influence from Pak's Domino, but hopefully she does more research for the character then that.

I wish this had been Dazzler instead. Simone could do for Ali what she did for Black Canary.

But I'm happy for Domino fans.

I don't think Dazzler needs to get a Black Canary makeover but I could see a Dazzler solo book fitting in a similar niche to the Fletcher Black Canary book.

Land's big problem are the "samness" in his faces (both in design and in facial expression). Seriously, I've seen him draw Emma, Psylocke, Monet, Kitty, Pixie, Storm, etc, and they all have pretty much the exact same face with the exact same expression on them.

And then of course there's his constant use of porn-y faces, often in places where it doesn't belong and looks patently ridiculous.

Unless it is Warpath....and they have sexed it up but haven't actually been on a date. lol I remember that in Wings. Brian and Casey have had lots of sex. But when they actually try to date, they realize they have nothing to talk about & no common ground.

On a more possible note, yeah. Warpath is probably a casually hook-up. Or it may not go beyond kissing in chapter 14.

To be fair though James is not NEARLY as bad as Colossus is with his ex's dating others though here's hoping that Warpath isn't the guy that Domino is on the date with and whoever it is we don't get some random pairing forced onto her...and here's hoping that they don't try to change her to look like the movie version...
