I've learned never to argue with hardcore video game fans in general.
When folks complain about comic book readers being company loyal.... they have no idea.
Platform wars are serious business with them.

Did anyone else read Deadly Hands of Kung fu and notice that there are parts where Shang Chi doesn't look asian?

Given the amazing variety of skin tones and features Shang Chi went through during his career, you could almost consider it a tradition...

Since dc just licenses the Milestone characters (they don't own them), it's possible they can't use him. The current status of their deal is anybody's guess.

I did notice, I mentioned it on one of the Shang Chi threads. I had to re-read the page a couple of times cuz i thought a new character walked into the scene. But the art was kinda lackluster throughout I thought.

besides, companies are free to adapt whatever they have the rights too, regardless of how we feel about it. and if there is no longer a copyright, then anyone should be allowed to change whatever they want if they decide to adapt a piece of work. and we're free to disagree and vocally or with our money or accept and support it.

Why would DC need to turn Static White when they have The Ray and Damage?

Why would Marvel need to turn Black Panther White when they have Ka-Zar?

Worrying that the little few minority characters that exist will. be white washed for the big screen is kinda reaching. Its way more likely that they will choose a White character to adapt to start out with.

Its way less likely that they are gonna turn Mr. Terrific white for the big screen than its is they would just do a Dr. Mid-Night movie in the first place.

Not that EITHER instance is happening anytime soon.

There was no "close enough" entertainment product that does what Last Airbender does that the people who made Last Airbender had access/the rights to.

I doubt that this is a reaction to Blue Marvel in any way shape or form.

DC sees its job as promoting Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman(and the rest of the Justice League) to audiences.

So even the Alt-Universe versions of Superman matter more to DC than Icon does.
