Today's my last work day of the year (in the office), will be going to Iwakuni, Yokota and then Singapore in the next few days if things go smoothly.

Seen a lot of India-Sri Lanka, India-Australia, Sri Lanka-England, India-Australia. Lots of highlights, even a live match here and there.

I see something that looks like a derivative of baseball, and have no desire to look more into it.

I think you'll find it's the other way around, old chap.

Cricket was first played in southern England in the 16th century.

Evolving from older bat-and-ball games, an early form of baseball was being played in England by the mid-18th century.
