Rictor not being able to control his powers isn’t any sort of development unless you’re literally just talking about something that happens to him, which is so vague that you could easily bring things that happened to Gambit.

Confusing and jumping all over the place. This is just bad fanfic. I love Betsy and her new roll, but this is meh. Every issue has been like that for me

Why is Gambit the only one making sense in this issue? Why are Jubes and Bets okay with leaving Rogue with A? He's obviously up to something.

A is great, of course. An arsehole, but an amazing one.

This book's a plot vehicle to bring mutant magic into the main Krakoa story.

This book went from one of my most anticipated to my most disappointing. Everything is just so generic. The Captain Britain/Excalibur/Otherworld mythos is so weird and rich, but Howard and To are delivering just a really generic fantasy world. Even the battle was generic. They didn’t even really do anything with their powers. The particularly galling thing is that the real story is what Apocalypse is up to, so this low rent GoT nonsense really feels like filler.

Where’s Roma? Saturnyne? The Starlight Citadel? All three are visually exciting low-hanging fruit ripe with narrative possibilities. Instead we get the least interesting version of Morgan Le Fey I’ve ever seen, running around dressed like a low rent Sansa Stark.

Such a bummer.

I don't mind the RPG aspects of it and I enjoy a lot of elements, like Ric and Apocalypse. But this book can and should be much weirder and more avant-garde. They need weirder art, or Davis. And yes, all the elements you mentioned.

Oh I liked this issue a lot more than the first two. Finally feel like we’re getting some movement and I’m interested to see what Clan Akkaba cooked up to get MI:13 involved.

Six issues arcs often feel like a drag but the story is still reeling me in. I’ll be glad when Tini gets mutant magic up and running so she can really start fleshing out this world.

The RPG stuff would be great if they leaned into it and dialed it up to 11. That’s not what I’m getting though.

I agree with Quiet Councilor. Going to buy issue 3 but I’m likely going to regret it.
