I liked the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and I also liked how they turned Lou Grant into the focus of a more serious show after the Mary Tyler Moore Show had ended.

I guess that just leaves Betty White as the last regular cast member from the Mary Tyler Moore Show still with us?
(I believe a few others, like John Amos and Joyce Bulifant, are also still around, but they weren't quite as regular in their appearances.)

Such a great actor. For me he will always be the sleezy and under handed Bart Jason from the John Wayne Movie El Dorado a movie my dad and I watch several times a month. In fact I will put it in tonight

Just minutes before I heard the news about Ed Asner's death, I had been channel-surfing and saw him on a 1963 episode of The Untouchables. Ironically, the guest-star of that particular episode was Sheree North, who in 1974 and 1975 would play Lou Grant's romantic interest on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

I loved Ed Asner. Such a great actor. And he voiced Granny Goodness too!

Yeah I know. But I loved that they went with Ed for Granny and he got a kick out of doing her deep gravely voice from what I read.

Yes, Lou Grant and MTM and all, but to me, he was that wonderful voice of Granny Goodness. Though he was screamingly funny in MTM show.
