Those are some of my favorites too. I like the one where he is gathering up his cloak. You find a lot of Doom poses with his arms folded. The Bowen statue and the bust were both posed like that

Did y'all buy Rise of the Black Panther #4? The one with Doom in it?

Yeah, I did buy it. That's a funny theory. "Put Doom in your comic and get a bump in sales " I'm always interested in any story that deals with the monarchs of Marvel having meetings, like in the Sturm und Drang. Or the when Namor and BP teamed up briefly to confront God Emperor Doom.

It did bother me a bit in that it retcons things so that Astonishing Tales #6-7 isn't their first meeting. IMO Doom was still pretty hung up about his face and just wouldn't whip it off without hesitation.

Seeing as he is prominent on the cover, it wouldn't surprise me if Doom might have attracted readers.

Doom always attracts readers. I also think writers like to use him, they don't always do so well, but he does give their other characters a certain amount of weight in the Marvel U.

I just unlocked Doom in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and I was fully prepared to spend an unreasonable amount of studs on him, but it turns out once you unlock him you get him for free.
So that was nice. Unfortunately, he can’t fly.

Me too. I was also a bit surprised that in the Marvel Two in One annual that Marvel seems to want to keep the rivalry with Reed set on high again. Maybe it's just me but I thought the point of the conclusion to Secret Wars was once he realized Reed had fixed the damage to his face it would be a turning point. Of course he does have a new reason to be angry with Reed for tinkering with his memories.

Just saying, nobody is going to stick with that Doom design. It's good, it's just not different enough people are going to keep using it. It's going to "quickly" revert to the classic style within a year.

And this preview is basically the kind of thing I was afraid of. Reversion on design, atmosphere, and when Slott says he's trying to piss people off for the first 12 issues, I'm not excited, I'm just annoyed.

I'm currently reading Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers run in preparation for an in-depth reading of Secret Wars (as in the entirety of Battleworld in-depth).
