I am going to read anything she is in. I am just keeping my fingers crossed with the recent appearances indicating that she is still operating as a hero (Iceman and Jessica Jones) that this is going to continue going forward into Uncanny 18. I was actually a bit surprised in Iceman #5 where Emma and Christian both jumped in to help the X-Men. Christian Frost really seems super keen to play superhero so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on a book by the end of the year. Emma and Christian leave the scene after things settle down because Emma doesn't think the X-men want her there.
I know some people are going to look at any excuse to hate Emma without looking at the entire run of the character. Sure she was emotionally wrecked when Scott died and she went kind of crazy, but you know what she isn't the first character that has happened to over the years. A lot of characters in comics do insane things when their romantic partners die in a tragic way. My impression is that Emma has been trying to rebuild her life since Mothervine, but she still cares about the X-Men a lot more than she lets on.
She ended up helping teen Jean face the Phoenix, she asked Bobby to help her rescue Christian, she gave the X-Men information when they were looking for the returned adult Jean, she didn't hesitate to help during Infinity War, and she jumped in to help Jessica Jones even more than she was asked because she felt empathy for Jessica's emotional state.
Emma took out the upper echelon of the Hellfire Club to get them out of the anti-mutant technology game once and for all. Just like Emma said in X-Men black, the Hellfire Club has doing everything they can for years to exacerbate the conflict between mutants and humans, and they profit off the technology that is used to kill mutants. Emma took over the club once and for all so she can force the Hellfire Club to throw all in on defending mutants. Emma was even grateful for the X-Men's help at the end, she knew they wouldn't agree with her methods but even at the end she still treats them like allies and not enemies.
That's the thing about Emma, she knows they may never accept her back, but she still sees the X-Men as her allies and she has already shown in Iceman #5 that she still wants to help the X-Men. Emma was in her Black King outfit in Iceman #5 and she was going to help the X-Men, she just wasn't sure about letting Christian go with her because she didn't think he was ready for a battle yet.
I won't deny that Emma will use any means necessary to win, but she is not the only X-character that is lethal. Lots of X-Men have killed over the years and a lot of them are even more violent than Emma. Heck the X-Men ran a black ops group out of Utopia and that was all Cyclops and Wolverine and Emma was only peripherally involved in what the X-Force team was doing in secret.
I personally love Emma as a character and I can't wait for her to be on a regular book again.
