It is also true that the Avengers are scattered all over the world instead of concentrating all their forces on Wakanda (which is ... stupid).

Where is the lie. The lie is missing.

Stark = 4 issues making armor compared to Scott, who can solve a problem just by staring at it lol.

Yea it’s pretty obvious that the Avengers are stretched thin and fighting across basically every continent while the X-Mem are just defending their lunar home, Genosha, and Krakoa. They’ve got a much higher concentration of superhumans in the places that matter so it’s easier to fight off hordes of lanky plant people. Not exactly a fair comparison.

Loved the issue. Loved nude Mags and loved the cuckoos messing him up. I believe there was someone here in the forums talking about how it would be fun to have them switching names just to mess with people. So here it is. I'm really enjoying the way Hickmann keeps using the Cuckoos as walkie talkies.

Also, the colors here were amazing. Sunny Go did an amazing job.

The cuckoos are doing well in this era. They appear in almost every book.

America must be missing when they had an army of mutants defending them when they were invaded by aliens.

So that as soon as the alien invasion was over they could exterminate mutants again.

Hickman flexed hella hard this issue dealt with the problem in minutes, while Stark enhanced it and got multiple people killed and moped with Richards about how smart he is and he still failed all the while doing a whole lot of not shit.

SMH then you got Wanda and Voodoo getting mopped across the savage land begging monkey people to get their shit together so they can survive, and a multitude of scattered Avengers around the globe with no real plan just struggling.

I am just so tired of this Empyre thing and this stupid plants in each issue of each series. They are a great threat or a joke depending on what series you read.

We already know that we are going to forgett about this creatures in two months after the event is over.

???? For the X-books, they've only been in this book and the mini. They werent in Hellions or X-Factor (I dont think) today

This issue was everything. We were blessed this week.

Hickman writes these characters exactly how I love them. Loved what he did with the Cuckoos, Magma.
    I ADORE his adorable Summoner.

    And his Magneto?

    Fun issue.
    >I'm not a Yu fan but the art was OK.
    >Dropping progressively larger satellites on the plant boss was cool.
    >Typo in the power combination omega redacted section, with 'enchanted' instead of 'enhanced'.
    >A few mutants out of place, like Scott fighting on Earth next to Goldballs when they both should be elsewhere [on the Moon and somewhere safe, respectively].
    >Does Magneto really need Magma to bring up, well, magma? Or require Iceman to cool it? Nope.
    >Ah, well. No 'Summoner kills the kids'... yet.
    >More creepy Exodus indoctrination but he looked awesome doing it. I wonder who these specific kids are he's focusing on and to what end.

    Favourite panel...

Hickman is continuing the theme of developing Magneto as a folk hero among Krakoa, which might in turn lead to some kind of future schism of great tragedy. There's something ominous about Present-Day Magneto donning the red and purple for the first time since Hickman's run began. He's being presented and celebrated as a hero while dressing in his villainous aspect.

It's pretty weird seeing Iceman calling Magneto "Boss" in page. Magneto taught the New Mutants so it makes sense seeing Magma defer to him but Iceman is a stretch to some extent.

A great issue and a really great distillation of Magneto's incredible awesomeness and charisma. We get to see the Magneto the hermit meditating in calm, Magneto the tired warrior (who says that his daring is his greatest failing), Magneto the brilliant general, Magneto the political mastermind (his crack about using military satellites that "aren't supposed to exist and we aren't supposed to know of"), Magneto the hero, and above all Magneto the badass.
