That still leaves half of them to not be related to Apocalypse. Not to mention Genesis is his wife, and all signs point to her being Annihilation now, so not part of his family really. Obviously that could be a red herring.
Either way I don't see the problem. I think this event is working as a character piece for Apocalypse, so I'm absolutely fine with it connecting to him in a large way. Besides, they're all new and interesting characters, so none of us have lost

When I think about it, it tends to be...
- "Serious Mutation With Human Parents..."
or
- "Serious Mutation With 'Non-Human' Aspect(s)..."
If it's the first one? It would almost have to be a non-white background.
If it's any sort of a "Not Human...." origin? Whole other can of worms.
Apocalypse is black, because depowered Evan is black. Which people here would know, had they read Duggan's Deadpool. Can't have a clone with different skin color than the template.
Think we will ever meet the human that was okkarra before he became an island? All mutants start as people so I assume he has a story to tell. Plus the whole being cut in half by surtur and turned into two people. Kinda interested in all that
Apocalypse should have recruited Kang the conqueror. The battle of the worlds sounds right up Kanga street.
