Fun fact! Nuclear Man was voiced by Gene Hackman. So this body-builder sun-god manchild had the voice of Luthor himself.

As bad as the movie is, that's pretty clever imo.

If this fight takes place in the day time, I'm putting the odds greatly in Nuclear Man's Favor.

Nuclear Man's claws can pierce Superman's Skin and poison him. It took the last of Krypton's Power to flush it out of his system.
    He tanks punches from Superman
Throws Energy Blasts that can hurt him.
Freeze Breath is encased Superman in a block of ice nearly instantly
He does have some TK abilities
He was shown to fly from the Earth to the Moon in seconds

    As for Thor:

Strombreaker is hard core, but it was designed from the same dwarf who made the gauntlet to counter Thanos and the gauntlet. I can see it hurting Nuclear Man but not to the same effect as Thanos

I remember Thor summoning a storm from the Avengers Movie but it wasn't instantly. It took a little time to do it.

Thor is a far better fighter but he's a brawler. His brain kicks in after he realizes fisticuffs are getting him nowhere.

although really thinking on it, from a modern stand point............NM's power don't really make sense. i mean, luthor made him using his own genes and superman's, mixed with the power of the sun. so..........how is he able to poison clark when they share the same power source?

    just something i noticed really.

I'm no physicist but my interpretation has always been that Superman draws power from non-ionising solar radiation but not the ionising kind, while Nuclear Man is powered by (or at least nor harmed by) the entire electromagnetic spectrum. When Nuclear Man slashed him Superman was basically given a huge dose of ionising radiation which his body can't process so he was afflicted with a form of radiation poisoning. Plus the fact that he was cut may have allowed it to by-pass whatever filters he has. Kind of like how you can drink snake venom without harm but if it's injected into your bloodstream it'll kill you.

    Just my two pennies.

I mean, I always took that line to mean that he spoke with the same kind of determination and gravity as Luthor, since Luthor was the creator, as if he was a child that said the same kinds of things as a father. And also because it didn't vocally sound like Hackman's Luthor at all. But actually having Hackman voice him (different voice intonations and voice acting and all) is the thing I find clever. Also, Luthor made Nuclear Man with Superman's DNA but none of his own.

It's like if an actor playing Frankenstein also did voice acting for Frankenstein's monster, since the monster is a distorted mirror of sorts for Frankenstein himself and his hubris. IIRC, that's never (or at least rarely) been done despite the large number of Frankenstein movies out there. Or if Patrick Stewart did voice work for Shinzon despite being played by Tom Hardy, or something like that.

What about his ridiculous 'need sunlight constantly' weakness. I mean, yeah, Superman is powered by the sun, but he doesn't go completely lifeless if he so much as steps under a shade tree.
Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

Also that Luthor said that he generates his own heat and light. That light is clearly coming from somewhere. Moreso, there are plenty of times in the movie where he isn't in direct sunlight and he's okay.

Not saying that that has any bearing on the fight given how "needs sunlight constantly" is an explicit weakness. It's just that the movie is inconsistent with itself.
