It really makes a difference to the weekend doesn't it ?

Good Friday Championship fixtures today. Middlesbrough are currently 0-2 down to Wolves, who are looking very much Premier League bound. Sunderland will no doubt lose once again to Derby County later.

I'll have both games playing in the background.

Good three points yesterday, not the best performance in the world but I'll take the three points, and another goal for Salah on his way to the Golden Boot award. Nice to see Mane get another goal as well.

LOL tbf I thought Derby would win comfortably myself so it's not just you

EDIT: Quick little edit to yesterday's post. I forgot to mention that Mane quite rightly got booked for diving against Palace yesterday. It's only fair I say that considering what I've said previously about diving.

Well, thanks to Spurs we are four wins away from finishing in the top four even if Chelsea won all their remaining seven games in the season. So...thank you Spurs? LOL

Also, I see normal service has resumed today for Sunderland fans with losing to Sheffield Wednesday having beaten Derby just a few days ago.

Good riddance, too little too late though. I've never rated Pardew as highly as the London media personally.

He'll be back in a job soon enough though. Some desperate club like Crystal Palace or Stoke. Desperate to avoid relegation at all costs and hoping that the quick fix of a managerial change will give them the crucial few points to keep them up for at least one more season.

It's like constant musical chairs with managers like Pardew, Pulis, Allardyce etc.

I like Pulis as a manager, as far as Allardyce is concerned I've got a grudging respect for him but he isn't bad. Pardew on the other hand, is IMO a very over-rated manager. Plus, he doesn't like Scousers so screw him

    Does he not? How come?

Has there been some aggro in the past that I'm not aware of?

TBH I'm joking with that remark, just a rumour I've heard that hasn't gone away in these parts. Don't know how it started or where it came from to be honest. Nothing concrete. If it is true that he doesn't like Scousers, than screw him but in the meantime that was just a lame attempt at humour on my part.

I stand by what I said about my opinion of him as a manager though.

    Ah, okay. Fair enough.

So Zlatan scored his first LA Galaxy goals at weekend. The first of which is definitely worth a gander:

This was in the first clash between Galaxy and their brand new rivals LAFC. What a time to pick to make your mark. How perfectly Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Got a selfie with our team owner.

We lost the match, but it was so awesome to be at the stadium for an electrifying two hours.

Nice. Congrats on the selfie, not every sports fan can say they've had a selfie with the owner of their team. Shame your team lost but at least you had a seven-goal thriller. For your first ever game as a club isn't it?

It was certainly a great first impression for his new fans, only way it could've been topped was if he'd got a hat-trick. Hope he does well there, I can enjoy watching him again

Oh, that's actually the owner of the USL Indy Eleven, Ersal Ozdemir.
