What do you guys think? He looks creepy, and they've been hyping this guy up for a while now.

I kind of prefer Centidemon, but fan nicknames are often more fun .

"Kindred" probably plays into his connection to Spider-Man, I guess.

So he's close to Peter either metaphorically or he's literally connected to Peter. Some people think he's a reanimated corpse of a clone. Hmmm.

Google's definition is "one's family and relations."
So it has to be an individual that is close to Peter but we pretty much have a small amount of suspect it could be Hoping the reveal is worth the hype

I'm really hoping it's not Uncle Ben. I really don't want his character sullied and exploited like Gwen Stacy's character was.

I never even considered it could be him. Like you, I hope it isn't.

In Spencer we trust. Slott was hinting at a reanimated Uncle Ben in the Clone Conspiracy, but I didn't even like that. Really hope we don't go this route. I hope it's really Doc Ock's original corpse reanimated by Mephisto (someone remind me, didn't he save Mysterio from hell or am I not remembering that right?) which caused a part of Peter's consciousness that was in there to be corrupted. That's my fanfiction, thank you for reading

What's funny is that when he first appeared I actually thought he looked alot like old disheveled Doc Ock from Dying Wish, so I think that's mostly due to how Ramos drew both characters.

I also don't think it can be him, since he stated he was the one who brought Mysterio back to life, back during the Civil War era, so it can't be something or someone from fairly recent.

As for the name, Kindred is a decent alias, even if Centidemon is just more fun to say

He's the lingering will of the radioactive spider.

He's Uncle Ben's secret bastard son from his 20's.

He's Peter's dad fused with a cursed Centipede totem.

He's the universal representation of my complaints about current Marvel comics.

    He's Tobey Maguire's current form.

    He's the original Crime Master.

He's Twitter users who think Spencer is alt-right.

    He's just some guy.

“Kindred” is the clone that Peter (thought he) killed way back in the OG clone conspiracy.

Kindred is a cool name I must admit. Because phonologically it sounds like someone put together the words "kind" and "dread" or alternatively "Kin" and "Dread", i.e. fear of family. Heck that should have been the name of Judge Dredd's emo son.

This has to be a record for the longest build-up of an on-screen villain without a name given to them, and even then we get it in such an offhand manner. At least in Spider-Man. Usually when a new villain comes we get the name and title right away. There might be mysteries about the identity and so on, but there's nothing mysterious about the costume.

Yeah, I like it. The contrast between the usually amiable definition of the word and the macabre visage of the villain works well.
