Yeah and CW would rather go OC route leaning more to soap opera melodrama. So that definitely doesn’t go too far with interest.

I honestly think DC has stalled so much and now being instantly reactionary to everything trying to play catch up. It’s just not organic nor interesting. Too much of rushing and forcing things. Marvel is flawed but has actually had long term plans, having successfully built their movie verse to expand now to legacy.

I’d hope with this movie verse phase 1.5 after Flash, they’ll take the time, and rightly use the source material, too.

Especially with a scene or poster like the art you quoted. 2 billions guaranteed. 🤣
We are seeing so much interest with rip offs, fanart, toy photography. A movie with the real deal would possibly be the game changer needed for DC.

His art would've been a good fit for the New52.
    Yep! Definitely!

"Superman and his occasional love interest, Wonder Woman, spend a quiet moment together in this superb original hand-painted 12 field production cel. Image sizes are nice and large at 8.25" and 7.5". The cel is placed over an original hand-painted Master background; both cel and background are believed to be from the final season of Super Friends, The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, which first aired in the fall of 1985."

    Wow! The parallels are unmatched.
Come on, DC/WB, we need a Superman/Wonder Woman movie.

I’m still trying to understand and it’s just not clicking.
The constant licensed merch, smww promoted/branded as “Power Couple/Love Birds” yet so disrespected in other medias cause stuck on “traditional” safety or whatever the excuse of the week is.
Obviously there’s a market, it sells.... why is it so difficult to completely embrace the pair and truly capitalize on it as the goldmine it is.

Yeah, that's their superhero formula. It works for them, I guess. It's a small network anyway.

Seems too late to catch up (if that's still their interest). And it's more likely that WB will focus on a small group of properties (like DC is doing in comics) instead of build a big shared universe like Marvel.

I’d hope with this movie verse phase 1.5 after Flash, they’ll take the time, and rightly use the source material, too.
It's already a good thing they'll open again to crossovers, cameos, team ups, whatever. We'll see how the characters (SM & WW 😜 ) will be interconnected after Hamada & co. will reshape the DCEU with The Flash.

They'll change the source material and pretend of being close to it, you know. 😅

As I said in the previous thread before it was locked, if Superman and Wonder Woman were in Marvel, they would've already team up 10+ times on the big screen. It's the way DC handled its cinematic universe that it was flawed and limited things such this to happen.

It works for the network but not necessarily all (established) characters in a long term sense.

DC has a vast unique universe and the shared universe has so much potential but was so caught up in cherry picking aspects and trying to twist and piece it all together, nothing made much sense. The take on the a-list characters were such a very limited view which made them unlikable to the general audience. Marvel stuck with source material and dynamics that made sense. Turning z-list characters into household names is a very high accomplishment.

Just do what makes sense. Stop forcing stuff that ultimately doesn’t have any point.

And changing/pretending with the source material, is why they are in the predicament they in now. Nope.

Yeah. I’m a little salty about that 😆

I think we should ask this to WB/DC's higher ups, lol.

CW's more notable achievement is triumphing where the DCEU failed, creating a large DC's interconnected universe over the years.

DC has a vast unique universe and the shared universe has so much potential but was so caught up in cherry picking aspects and trying to twist and piece it all together, nothing made much sense. Hope they'll be able to fix/improve it with or without rebooting the whole universe.

Yep. That was what hurt SM/WW in the first place.

Yeah. I’m a little salty about that 😆
    You don't say.
