Perhaps. As you said DD did ask Spidey for help and considering the scale of what Bullseye is doing maybe Spidey will help Elektra find and take down Bullseye to maybe change up the Elektra vs Bullseye formula a bit. Not that Elektra nor especially Spidey would need help defeating Bullseye. But he’s extra crazy right now so maybe that’ll somehow make him more lethal.

I mean he has advancements so I could see Elektra having a tough time.That and the code she in not used to.Also in an art piece of a future issue we see her get shot and fall down.

Yes, the Angels Unaware story by Lee Weeks gives us the quintessential Daredevil. Not only do we see who Daredevil is but it's such a great story with excellent art. IINM, only issue 3 was not drawn by Weeks but by Cariello and Loughridge, and the art suufers slightly. Have you managed to read the remaining two stories of the Dark Nights anthology?

Yes, I got distracted by the X-Men for a minute but eventually I went back and finished the rest of the book. I think the other 2 stories were rather forgettable. I know that DD is mostly concerned with the street-level stuff but I find it strange that he would not stop and help the Avengers to fight that big monster that's wreaking havoc on the city, but instead keeps on following that one little guy.
The Misty story at least had some ok art, but the constant sexual banter between them got tiresome pretty quick. I know he's a ladies man but still.

All in all, I don't regret picking this book up but I don't see myself rereading those last 2 stories in the near future.

Oh man, the sexual banter in the Palmiotti story was cringeworthy. The Lee Weeks story makes the whole TPB worthwhile. I would love to see a Daredevil by Lee Weeks OHC.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I'd rather not clutter the feed with a topic that will only come and go. I'm looking to get into Daredevil, specifically runs anywhere from the 90's to now. In your opinion, what are his best runs during that time? I'm partial to any Daredevil stories that harbor a moody atmosphere (brooding on gargoyles, fighting in the rain, self-reflection in churches, etc.).

To me the best run is Frank Miller's original run.
Then for latter runs, you have the excellent Marvel Knights era (a few runs = one story).
For Marvel Knights you at least need to read "Micheal Brian Bendis' run" followed by "Ed Brubaker's run".
After you only have good runs. Two by "Mark Wayd", one by "Charles Soules", and the current by "Chip Zdarsky".

If we're talking 90s, brooding, rain etc., then I would go with basically all of Vol. 2 i.e. Kevin Smith, David Mack, Brian Bendis, Ed Brubaker and even Andy Diggle's run. You don't really get all the moody atmosphere in Waid's run but it's still a worthy run. Charles Soule's run definitely has it's moments of "dark" atmosphere and is definitely worth reading.

My favourite Daredevil run is from the 1980s - Frank Miller's. There's definitely a lot of darkness there. It was ahead of its time and it still holds its own.

Ed Brubaker's run is the best choice for that. Given the direct continuation from Brian Bendis, I'd recommend reading both together.

Given that we had such a sustained run of dark brooding (Bendis to Diggle), it's weird to think that most writers of this era were actually lighter. Karl Kesel, Joe Kelly, the guy who wrote the Playing to the Camera story, and Mark Waid. I'd put Kevin Smith, David Mack, and Charles Soule as sort of in the middle. Not quite dark brooding but not light, happier Daredevil either.
