I am skipping the Coates' run.
*facepalm*
The TV devision of Marvel grabbed hold of the Inhumans in the Agents of Shield, which is a large reason Feigie and the Cinematic side of Marvel opted out of using them in film. Along with a list of other reason. Either way I was referring to the Marvel Movie side. People have and still do see those in droves thus far.

Lets see-
He has over 186 solo issues
His trade are top 100 on Amazon and out selling guys like Batman and that was before the movie was confirmed.
He had his own tv show
He has been featured on Avengers, FF, Fantastic Force and a member of Marvel's smartest or devious heroes.
His box office opening is expect to bury a LOT of guys with WAY more than him.
If he wasn't any good-no one would have used him for as long as they have be it solo (11 straight years-a feat no other minority owned by Marvel or DC can boast), team books or events.
Now what has Storm done? Or any X-Men not named Deadpool or Logan. Where is this well done black male mutant? Oh that's right black males don't do well in that universe. Including guys who can't die.
Now what folks has asked is show the post of those Panther fans who support a marriage NOW-not in the past tense but NOW.
Very few want to see it because of a strong distrust of Coates and the X-Office.
And the fact Coates in a how convenient deleted tweet said don't expect a marriage between the two in the future. So what is the point of wasting page time with them together? So when Logan comes back Storm can run to him and be his Olivia Pope to his Fritz?
No where did I say Black Panther was not any good.

People need to accept this truth.
It's clear that T'Challa and his political power can be role up and blended into the X-fold with the release of X-men Red. It's funny how all this is possible now, but not when Storm sat the throne beside T'Challa. That's some serious bullshit right there. Was BP & Storm a bad idea? Not at all. There were people that went out of their way to portray them as such.
In all fairness though it's not like the X-Men (apart from Storm obviously) showed up in the BP book all that often either. You get occasional cross overs like Wild Kingdom, World Apart, and Doom War but by and large X-Men do their own stuff and BP did his own. I'm assuming the X-Men writers didn't want Wakanda coming into Utopia to help to often, just as I'll wager BP writers didn't want the X-Men coming into Wakanda to help too often (again Storm being the exception since she's a part of the book). A little bit is fine, but too much and it potentially makes them look like they can't handle their own business.
I bet Namor was around T'Challa's wife more than him.
It's interesting that Coates had Black Panther talk about rushing Storm into marrying him, and caging her. I wonder if this was his way of addressing the way Hudlin wrote their relationship, and how he kept Storm out of the x-books.
If anyone read the McDuffie & Liss depictions of the couple, they will see how much of a sense of humor Storm had when interacting with T'Challa.
The pair could be funny, when written properly.
