Jane's a legacy, just not a "sidekick turned replacement" legacy.
Maybe Hemsworth will stick around and play Thor for years to come, or maybe Portman signed up for her own Thor trilogy, or maybe Marvel will keep both around, who knows? I figure, I'm going into this next phase of the MCU assuming the old guard is being phased out, and if anyone sticks around longer than their next appearance then that's just bonus.
"We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe."
~ Black Panther.
I discussed this with someone else here, but I was specifically referring to "sidekick/legacy character turned replacement". She is part of the old guard, all the way from Thor 1. I'm not opposed to her at all, I'm just observing it's not the same as Ironheart, Ms Marvel or even Scott Lang.
Echo spinoff greenlit:

Between this and the rumored Nomad show, these Disney + shows may lead into spin-offs rather than second seasons for some.
I think Loki is the only confirmed second season so far.
Really surprised about the Echo spin-off. If they're doing that for who I'm assuming will be a somewhat smaller character, there's no way they don't already have something in the cards for Kate, right? Specially with a big star like Hailee Steinfeld attached. I'm fully expecting a second season with Hailee as the lead, or at least a Young Avengers project as a direct continuation.
