Cyclone! Maxine Hunkel Appreciation Thread

Who else misses Maxine? I really fell for that character in JSA and wish she could be brought back, sans the JSA, in the new continuity as her own hero. Maybe with her own mini, THE CYCLONE? She could also always team up with Stargirl and/or Supergirl.

Never too many redheads in comics, yo.

I always found it funny that an entirely non-superpowered, human hero who called herself the Red Tornado would wind up - just by coincidence! - with a granddaughter with tornado powers. I do know they finally cobbled together an explanation, but I had to look it up. I wonder what her new origin would be today - and if she would have the same personality without the same family connections. (Beware - they may decide to make her "grim 'n' gritty!")

Maxine is awesome, and I hope she comes back home to the JSA soon.

I loved her relationship with Stargirl, and hope we'll see more of that soon enough.

Maxine is the best! I relate to her so much.

But if Stargirl and Cyclone were to get a mini together, it would also make sense for Jakeem Thunder to be there.

You know, the great character that completely disappeared from the JSA book after Blackest Night with NO explanation whatsoever.

Maxine was the one that hook me up to DC comics. I love her personality and background. It's a shame she vanished post Flashpoint and it would be cool to see her coming back during Rebirth.

It would also be cool if she appeared in the upcoming season 3 of the Young Justice Cartoon

Looking back the one bit that always amused me was that her powers really were kind of just an after the thought minor explanation to tie Ma Hunel and Reddie together.

Though a part of me remembers hoping something similar would be done to give Traya Sutton powers.

I did like that later on she started developing powers that seemed to be making her something of a wind elemental being able to hear words ala super hearing but with the winds speaking to her or somesuch.
