    Default DC's "Charlton 7" Appreciation

    DC Forum Appreciation Thread rules:

    1) No negative comments about the honoree of this thread. It's an appreciation thread, not a non-appreciation one.

    2) No negative discussion about any competitors of the honoree of this thread (i.e. John Stewart in the Hal Jordan thread). No ifs, ands, or buts. Find another non-appreciation thread to do that, just not here.

    3) No negative comments about other versions of the character. For example, if you like the DCU version of Cyborg, but hate the DCnU version (or visa versa), just appreciate the earlier version and keep your comments about the latter to yourself.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the best things to happen from Crisis on Infinite Earths was bringing these Charlton Comic heroes into the DCU.
Captain Atom, Nightshade, Blue Beetle, The Question, Peacemaker, Judomaster, and Sarge Steel.
I wish DC would go back to the basics with these heroes.

One day, Nightshade....one day..... you will get your moment in the sun.

You too, Vic. You won't have to be a poor man's Phantom Stranger anymore.

You forget "Quicksilver" which appeared briefly in COIE which Mark Waid wisely changed to Max Mercury to avoid a lawsuit.

I'm aware but they did publish him for about a decade or so.

I think Max Mercury was a Quality Comics character, not a Charlton Comics character.

He's supposedly making his New 52 debut in Forever Evil #7.

BTW - No love for Son of Vulcan?

I've always been interested in this character. Hopefully he appears in Wonder Woman at some point.
