Things that should be a thing Marvel 616 wide...

SHIELD of course has always been that way. Avengers, FF, X-Men have always dealt with them.

But what other groups should be something shown across the board on Earth 616?

Commission on Superhuman Activities? Should this Presidential advisory group be shown with regards to any U.S. superhuman activity?

What about Hench and Lackey...the dueling super villain apps from the Ant-Man series? Should Spidey or DD have to deal with a group of super villains hired to pull a job thru one of the apps? Should any of the teams (Avengers/FF/X-Men)? Imagine a big fight and after the good guys win one of the bad guys makes a comment about getting a bad review...or giving a bad review to the guy who hired them for the job.

Not saying they have to be in all books all the time...but the occasional appearance or mention. For example when Matt Murdock was fighting in court for super heroes to testify in their super hero identities I would think the Commission would have made an appearance as it is something that would be in their purview.

Well they told butterball he should look into firefighting, bomb squad or rescue work over hero work.

Night nurse and dr strange are docs. Doc sampson is a shrink.

Us1 and razerback drives a truck for a living. (both can go into space in their trucks also!) Rescue used to--well rescue people over fighting bad guys. Wonder man acts.

But yeah other then night nurse and butterball many of them are heroes and not just the other things they do.

I agree, especially for Mutants. It would explain the hate they get ... people don't want a Mutant as a teacher or co-worker or their kid to turn out to be one.

Odd times as I plod round I do wonder what sort of impacts mutants (and other powered geezers) would have on “fabric” of everyday life.

Examples like:-
1/ How would it impact on competitive sport for normal people? (e.g. When Quicksilver exists is there any point in training and training to do 100 metres in 9.7 seconds? Would spectators really be enthused about Olympics featuring normal people?)

2/ How would people feel about losing a job or a promotion to some one (a mutant maybe) with an “unfair” advantage?

3/ How would casinos screen out precogs and telepaths, etc?

Of course..never admit these thoughts to my mates. They already suspect I’m bonkers.

1/ I believe Northstar ran into that...He was a professional skier and was giving an exhibition and had to fly off in the middle of it to save someone and it became a thing about whether he used his powers during competition or not...which he denied.

2/ As for mutants in the work force....a telekinetic or super strong person would be great in the moving business...especially in someplace like NYC to get heavy furniture or appliances up multiple flights of stairs...or to move them up outside and in thru a window. Or to put a commercial HVAC system on top of a building without shutting down a street and bringing in a crane.

3/ Or telekinetics at the craps table. There are power dampeners...so just install those. Put a sign outside that says they are on.

This. Northstar's identity was secret so nobody knew Olympic skier Jean-Paul Beaubier was a mutant with superspeed. There was nothing on panel that ever suggested he used his powers in skiing, and he himself didn't seem to believe he had, but almost any reasonable person would have some degree of doubt.

In one of his solo series, Nova used his flying speed to be a courier. Right now, Juggernaut is working with Damage Control.

Agreed. With all of the humanitarian groups in the real world, you'd think there'd be something similar in Marvel Universe, albeit staffed by supers as well as normal humans. Their purpose isn't to take out the bad guys, but use their powers in other ways for the betterment of everyone on the planet.

Weirdly enough, I was watching Heroes recently and liked the idea of People with powers just doing normal jobs. Especially if their power amounts to 'I can hear things really well' it actually makes a lot of sense they wouldn't be on a team like X-men.

It'll be fun to at least get a 5 issue mini which was just some guy with powers do his day to day business while living in the Marvel Universe.

I know, it's crazy. Makes me think of the High Evolutionary, who created his own Earth a generation or two ago. It's a little smaller than the real Earth, but it's a clean planet with all of its resources. If they wanted to, they could move every human being off of main Earth to multiple Counter Earths, which would give the planet a chance to recover from all of the damage that we've dealt to it.

There's something that pops in my mind regarding on Marvel Universe...

How do other places (as in other cities/towns, American states or countries outside USA) fare with mutants and other superpowered beings?
Most of the Marvel stories I hear always take place in the same old New York. And when it comes to other countries outside USA, it's always about the fictional places like Wakanda, Latveria, Attilan, Krakoa or Madripoor. We have not heard of some places where the Supers (nickname for superpowered beings like Superhumans, Mutants, Inhumans, Aliens and so on) are tightly controlled or just banned from vigilantism. We have not heard of stories with some places where the Supers get privileged treatment from others or those exploited by humans.
I have noticed that nowadays those Marvel comics barely have those stories with superheroes in other places that are not New York, Wakanda, New Jersey, Madripoor, Latveria and Krakoa.
