So it's not KC Superman since the events of his life were very different from those of Reeve and Routh ... this is a lure to attract the fans ... shame, shame.

They are shameless, so no surprise there.

It's one thing to suspect something, but another to have it confirmed. We were all saying it that this was more than likely what they were doing. Using the KC Superman image without it having anything to do with KC because they wanted to get attention and that's exactly what they did.

It would be nice for once if we anticipated the worst from them and they actually pleasantly surprised us. But I guess that's too much to ask.

I never noticed the lack of interaction between Diana and the Kents before you pointed it out. �� It could be that with her being WW first and foremost, writers didn't see her fitting along with the Kents. I dunno. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Writers that are more into WW should end up writing SM and vice versa, so we'll get SM/WW more closer and present in each other's lives due to writers overusing their favorites. ��



It may be that writers are simply not yet accustomed to exploring those dynamics (Hyppolita/Clark and the Kents/Diana). ��

You know they want to peg Diana as a snob. An outsider who has no humanity. Someone who apparently does not have empathy or cannot understand love of a child for parents or appreciate Smallville. Hence the lack of interaction with Clark's parents. Diana's history has had her as a working woman, opting to at times use the ID to understand the world she came to live in, who has friends who are normal people...from Julia, to Nessie, to the Sandmarks, and her staff at the Embassy etc. She has friends with women in the League. Some who are normal like Black Canary or Zatanna. God forbid Diana and Martha or Martha and Hippolyta would have a conversation and not have interesting things to say to each other. Hippolyta and Martha would share so much in common as mothers who longed for a child, or who had to parent a meta one. The contrast of a Queen and a woman like Martha begs to be written as Clark and Hippolyta given the personalities and contrasts and the way Amazons view men. Clark would be one of few men imo Hippolyta would respect, trust and embrace as a partner for her daughter given how noble he is. The journey to that would be so interesting. Growing up on an unspoiled island, running free as growing up in a rural farm...you cannot tell me Diana can't appreciate the quiet and beauty of Smallville. Suddenly Clark is inferred to be space royalty under Bendis and we have these claims he is the greatest hero to ever live and pple kneeling to him...I don't know...given imo he hasn't done anything so great to have the whole galaxy fawn over him yet WW is the problematic one being a princess and outsider.

So many stories waiting to be written. But they don't want to. Because if they did, it would mean what they say about Diana is not true. They actually willing to shaft someone as Diana who is compassionate, open , truthful, willing to embrace all beings (even non humans) for their backward stereotypes. To suggest a woman born on earth, who would love it as much as anyone...can't love it or the people as Clark. It's complete ooc stuff to me just to prop the status quo as some writers making Clark seem a naive doofus who can't grasp basics given he supposed to be a shrewd and smart reporter and a hero for the universe.

It wasn't totally in-focus yet had some unusual lighting effect to it.”

To be honest I am kinda glad. Now I can ignore that crossover since I never had any interest in the CW stuff. I don't want Superman Return SM to be our KC one anyway. He could never be. If they ever did KC, he needs to be done authentically and faithful to the story. He lived a long fruitful life and earned his happiness with his Diana despite all his upheavals and losses. His life was not defined by one person. He cared for the world. They using the Logo is just a way to try to get interest but when pple find out he isn't who they think he is...it won't matter.

Great scene. Goes to show you preflashpoint writers always understood smww dynamic. And really why would they not spar with each other? The idea them sparring with heroes who cant even match their speed and strength is stupid imo.

I think using themes loved by the fans like COIE and KC is a very dangerous move with great chances of going wrong ...

I'm glad there is no association whatsoever but I dislike that they are co-opting the KC logo, something so meaningful, in such a cheap way. I know I should know better with those folks. 🤦🏾*♀️

Ah we can dream that someone at WB/DC will one day do a faithful adaptation or fleshing out of kingdom come as a trilogy or series in live action.

What DC is doing is nothing novel anymore. Marvel is doing it better. And there are now so many other properties using the superhero franchise more creatively. We have SMWW analogues popping up all over the place...but DC and WB refusing to use what they have because of nostalgia and catering to a shrinking audience.

Let us hope it is fans who are open minded who will keep asking for KC. At the moment DC is in hot water from what I see in terms of comics. It is ironic given what they were saying about Rebirth and who were their true fans. It seems WB has lost a lot of money and not willing to prop anything not making money. They boasted Rebirth was the greatest thing since and now we have the truth that it was all cosmetic and no real growth. Makes you wonder was crapping over the new 52 worth it.
