Pretty disrespectful portrayal of poor Thunderstrike. Plus, this just looks bad (and confusing) all around. Going to skip this one.

It's a double page spread. Always annoying when websites split them up for the preview.

I can agree with that, but I especially like that this seems to be the writer riffing on what superheroes have become in the modern era, which is chiefly soulless corporate properties meant to sell merchandise. It sounds rather cynical, especially to those of us who love these characters, but that's what they are in the eyes of the corporate suits who perpetuate their existence just because they're still profitable.

ha, of course. that makes some of it simpler, but to my motion video mind, it still “crosses the line “ on the second panel down

Funny thing is that the writer probably lifted that off an early Season 1 episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where a gang of Norse god-worshipping thugs in Europe (implied or stated to be white supremacists) got their hands on an actual Asgardian weapon that induced literal berserker rage and conferred superhuman strength and combat prowess to go along with it. Both of the team's combat specialists got their hands on it as well, and while one was nearly driven out of his mind by sheer rage and hate, the other was able to channel and focus it better, thus enabling her to trounce the gang on her lonesome.

Those are real? Holy s***, it's a good thing Asgardian artifacts that confer superhuman strength and combat prowess coupled with literal berserker rage don't exist in real life, then.
