I think Magneto makes sense since he's not featured regularly in any book.

Id like an issue focusing on the Five. Or at least Hope.

Don't make me love you, Hickman. This looks very fine. And the Magneto on the cover looks very much like Max; just because he's not grimacing like he's giving birth with white eyes and demonic shading, doesn't mean this isn't Magneto. And I appreciate the subtle shift; Magneto's greatest enemy isn't the X-Men or Xavier, but non-mutant humanity. I'm not sure he's capable of playing negotiator and diplomat. I'm reminded of a Claremont interview a few years ago where he said, he never looked at Magneto as "Malcolm X" but rather Menachim Begin, a deadly terrorist and nationalist turned diplomat and leader and eventually peacemaker. Very interesting concept. Also hoping Polaris is in this; in fact, I'm thinking she has to be, given her new status as Magneto's protege.

Every major X-Men character is going to get a Giant-Size, I imagine. I like that Emma Frost and Magneto are #1 and #2--I think that's Marvel and the X-Office making a positive statement.

Hickman has been doing a bang up job with Magneto and a great job with Lorna. Outside of my usual curmudgeon self I hope this one shot is very successful and I hope Lorna has a role.
