im not all the way sure. but during the end of Ultimate X-Men (which went over a long period of time, he was messing around with Jean while undercover. then, there was the 16-month gap during Time Runs Out + post-Secret Wars.

Let's be fair. This thing isn't Joyce in it's unparseability.

So did Bunn just stealth age Jimmy up to 21? He was like 16 when he first was introduced in the UU and now he’s old enough to be drinking in California.

Wasn't he introduced shortly after Miles Morales, who has similarly aged from 13 to 17?

Is it that hard to give Polaris a good team? Because frankly apart from Lorna and Bloodstorm, the previous team was beyond terrible.


And looking at this preview, extermination and a big relaunch can't come soon enough.

This Book fluctuates a lot. It's Good, then Bad then Good then Bad and Bad...

Well, Danger should be coming back with the O5 at least. Polaris, Danger + Bloodstorm is a solid start. Quicksilver, Sunfire & Frenzy would be great additions.

And having just followed a great arc, I'm gutted that Poison Jimmy Hudson is the next big plot. And with the abominations that are X-Men Gold + Weapon X, I'm kinda ready for a relaunch too.

To everyone worrying about this arc, it isn't a """huge""" arc and not even as long as a regular arc. It's literally only two issues (#29 and #30) and it's also supposed to serve as an epilogue for the events of Mothervine and Venomized.

But isn't that the utter joy of reading X-Men comics? Reading with just the little tinge of utter confusion of "No really, what the f*ck is going on?"

Yeah or something like Polaris, Danger, Bloodstorm, Frenzy, Emma, Elixir, Exodus and Monet if Bunn wanted to use the characters from his Uncanny X-Men run. I don't know that's way more interesting than the two awful Wolverine knockoffs, the boring Xorn and the useless Gazing Nightshade.

Let's hope the team lineup will be better for the relaunch.
