That's the whole point. If you say "I never really got into it.", you are saying "It was a possibility that never went anywhere."

Claremont is the only first part who implied she was with Yukio. Current Marvel writer Frank Tieri built off from Claremont's work and confirmed it. I strongly assume you didn't read Frank Tieri's tweets that were posted near the beginning of this thread?

It seriously astounds me how you folks keep jumping through hoops trying to come up with arguments against the fact that Storm is bisexual. Which she is. Build a bridge and get over it.

As for Tieri, his comment is based on what Claremont wrote. Which Claremont clearly said "Never got into..." saying one way or the other. You cannot confirm what is left up in the air.

He is trying to create a pattern that does not begin where he thinks it does.

He is saying "Yes" based on misunderstanding what Claremont actually said. Has Claremont come out to agree with what Tieri believes he said?

Actually... He might not even misunderstand. He may not even know that Claremont said that, and is just going with what he wants to believe even if it never happened.

I think the courtroom exhibit A brigade need to realize that Claremont did the best he could with subtext at the time with characters like Storm, Destiny, Mystique etc because the Comics Code Authority forbade any on-panel homosexual relationships at the time, as well as Marvel's quite disgusting "No gays in the Marvel Universe" period, spearheaded by Jim Shooter in the 1980's. So a universe has aliens, mutants, eternals, gods etc but anything other than heterosexual is too wild? They couldn't use any obvious language so subtext is all that's there. I think in a way to completely ignore it in some way supports Jim Shooters ban and it's effect, which is really saddening.
