It's not just the Canadian government but the Catholic Church (and possibly other churches) also responsible. Several churches have been burnt down. The Canadian government hasn't even really done the bare minimum of addressing this and the church has done nothing whatsoever.

Thing is, a lot of the White folks in these areas, at least online, act like they're victims of society because the oil pipeline was cancelled or something like that. They have no idea what oppression is.

I wonder when they'll start finding these kinds of graves in other nations

i never thought of it like that. But many of these religious organizations can get away with abuse. And if happens to Native American children, the government is probably ok with it

Because of the Cuba situation, there have been Cuban's blocking traffic down south.

And just a friendly reminder that neither the US government nor the Cuban exiles could give a rat's ass about liberating Cuba from tyranny. Whatever government they would install is going to be far more brutal and authoritarian than the communists ever were, and exist primarily to facilitate extraction of natural resources by American corporations and set up snazzy vacation spots for American tourists, with absolutely no regard for the well-being of the Cuban people aside from a tiny elite of, invariably white, collaborationists. And if you need evidence for this, you can look at literally any other country in the Caribbean, or even Cuba's own history pre-Castro, and note the distinct lack of affluent liberal democracies, or well-functioning societies of any kind for that matter. Say what you will about Cuba's many flaws, but it has done a far better job taking care of its people than any country should ever be expected to given the uniquely difficult circumstances it has faced.

I won't pretend I'm a fan of Cuban totalitarianism, but I do think the USA really doesn't care much about liberation so much as economic imperialism. Ironic considering how much of a buzzword "freedom" is. You can see the USA and other nations have influenced questionable governments to arise in Central and South America, but that's ok if those nations support foreign interests, like oil. Of course, I don't know if the Cuban government has actually helped non-White Cubans

And most folks can't explain what that is.

We just started discussions about race and acceptance among staff and now it's on hold because of the banning done here. Because no one can explain to the school district what is actually being banned.

Funny thing is most schools can't have discussions about race as much because of STATE TESTING.

America is straight up failing it's citizens. While I don't expect us to all be immortal by now? This country could absolutely be making better strides in treating long term illness.
