That's an interesting statement when you think about it. For a long time the GOP as we know it hasn't been the GOP that many/some/at least a few Republicans signed up for. I suspect that it might be kinda like 'demonic possession'. Question is, how much of the 'demon' that Trump exemplifies will 'die', and will the GOP be reborn like many want it to be, or will it remain as it is.
Or will it split in two.
I'm more inclined to think that it will survive either as is, waiting to grab power again, or it will be split in two.

Trump's approval after tax reveal, 42%. Trump's approval after an embarrassing debate Tuesday, 42%. Nothing will desuade his adoring followers.
Let's hope the other 58% make the right choice.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Remember when Hillary Clinton accused Trump of cheating on his taxes and his reply was, "That makes me smart." His supporters feel the same way. They think the government wastes our money, so if you can cheat them out of it and get away with it, that's something to be proud of. Never mind that the government will have less money to pay for basic services that even Trump's supporters take for granted. Hey, he outsmarted the IRS! That's the coolest!

How so? Trump has rolled back the rock and exposed the GOP for what we knew it was. Unfortunately 45% of Americans think this is all perfectly acceptable as long as minorities suffer, libtards cry, and rich people pay lower taxes.
As long as Twitter and Facebook don’t clamp down on conspiracy theories and propaganda and they have their state run news network, this will be the GOP for the foreseeable future.

I just find it insane the amount of shit Obama got for tan suits, and having a coffee in his hand, but Trump is just A Okay. Like, what is wrong with people.
Our governmental system is deeply damaged. Possibly irreparably.
And even Republicans who dislike Trump still support the Republicans that are letting Trump happen, and walk away without any repercussions. I cannot understand it. My brain cannot fathom what it takes to think that way.
If Trump happened to my party and they were giving him a pass, I'd be fucking done with all of them.

This wouldn't be a terrible choice. There are many groups of people who should have a voice on the court but as far as I know, have never had one. Has a Native-American ever held a seat on the court? I don't think so. With the things done today with native lands, I would like to see that change. We need so much more representation. That is only one example.

This is why i dropped out of the Republican party. But I dont think many people will do that. For me it was hard to leave the Republican party as crazy as that sounds. I was raised by Republican parent s and uncles and aunts. This was my life. I was brought up to believe certain things. I was told over and over that people who questioned these things do love the country and will make up all kinds of lies to make their point. But over the last few years I saw that this was not true. I started to see things for what they are. But it was still hard to go against a life time of beliefs. And the amount of hate I got from my family (Not my parents) and long time friends many of whom stopped talking to me.
And man when I came out as gay I may as well have bitched slapped baby Jesus on Christmas Eve during a prayer by the pope. Like I said it was hard.
I was lucky in the sense the two people who I really care about my parents were very supportive about my coming out and leaving the party. My dad still has some conservatives leanings but even he is not voting for Trump and Republicans in our state elections. His sister my aunt who lives with us act like we are traitors and are trying to destroy the country and she can not understand us.
I compare the GOP and many of their followers to being in a cult. A life time of brain washing and harder then Hell to get out of.
